Latest news about ShibataFenderTeam, orders and deliveries
Happy New Year 2023!
After the impact of the pandemic and the return to normality, we have seen the reactivation of certain sectors, and also the growth of others as a response to a new challenge: energy diversification within the shortest period of time. Over the last twelve months, we have been successful in securing a number of milestone projects in various of these industry sectors, such as LNG, Container and Cruise Terminals. SFT´s manufacturing facilities, in particular the one in Germany, have been excelling in realizing delivery times that have been unheard of before.
Looking back at 2022, we are particularly proud of some achievements:
… By the end of this 2022, Wilhelmshaven will become Germany's first LNG Terminal for the import of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Equipped with ShibataFenderTeam SPC Cone Fender Systems, vessels of all sizes will be able to moor at this strategic site which has a capacity to handle about 8.5% of Germany’s gas demand per year.
… We are also proud to be part of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel project. It will be the world’s longest immersed tunnel, an important component in the future European transport network and an important contribution to the green transition of the transport sector. We supplied Cylindrical Fender Systems to accommodate vessels loaded with the construction material.
… As announced at the end of 2021, this year we presented to the fender industry our new Buoys and Barriers Brochure. Available now in English, Spanish and French, it provides valuable insights into the wide range of buoy products, performance data, information about manufacturing, and design features as well as drawings of a typical buoy layout.
… We cannot close this review without mentioning this year’s Agent Meeting. All our Sales agents from around the world, as well as colleagues from all our offices were invited to Valencia, Spain, to attend the first in-person Agent Meeting after 3 years. We are proud of our excellent network and the opportunity to jointly grow our relationship stronger to be ready for the challenges of the future.
Finding an individual and suitable solution for a unique project and working on this as a team is what makes our work so interesting. Our goal: providing a safe environment for vessels, port infrastructure and people.
In order to remain the strong and dependent partner you know and to lead fender design to the future, we will further strive to develop ourselves continuously.
Thank you for working with us!
We wish you and your families a safe and wonderful holiday season, as well as a great start into the year 2023!
