They are equipped with a counterweight made of concrete and/or steel, optionally with tare weights to keep parts of the fender below the water line. Submarine Foam Fenders are easy to install, puncture resistant and very robust with a proven track record of operation in arctic conditions. Typical applications for these fenders are Navy berths and submarines.
