Happy New Year 2026!
As we are closing out 2025, it is time to pause and look back on the past twelve months.
More leadership.
The first sight that captures our attention is the inauguration of our new manufacturing facility in Valencia, Spain, in June 2025. This state-of-the-art facility, strategically located near the Port of Valencia, doubles our production capacity for foam fenders and steelworks, reinforcing our ability to serve growing markets across Spain, the Mediterranean, broader Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Already fully operational, the facility has also achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to quality management and environmental responsibility.
A trusted partner worldwide.
However, not far from that, let us take a look at some of the many projects we have successfully delivered across the globe:
At Cape Jervis in Australia, we delivered one of the company’s most complex orders ever: 14 Pile Fenders consisting of CSS Cell Fender Systems with exceptionally long panels in various sizes, each paired with a customized rear panel to connect to the contractor’s headstock plate.
Four Cell Fenders CSS3000, the largest available, were supplied to Malaysia; designed for permanently moored operations, the fender systems were tested to absorb even the most extreme mooring loads.
The Port of Oakland in the US, saw two major projects: Berths 55–59 were equipped with 96 customized Cone Fenders and 100 bollards to enable shore power installation and operations of the next generation of ultra-large container vessels. Additionally, Berth 10 received five custom Cone Fender Systems, extending the life of this historic terminal while supporting the port’s future evolution.
In Europe, SFT built on decades of experience to provide 220 fender panels and 79 floating Sea Camels for the Terneuzen New Lock in the Netherlands. This 427-meter structure ranks among the largest locks in the world.
None of these achievements would have been possible without the talent and dedication of our teams and the invaluable support of our large network of local representatives. Their gathering in Valencia this year – right beside our newly opened facility – was a reminder of what drives our success: a powerful combination of global reach, local expertise, and shared ambition.
On the horizon.
As we step into the new year, the ShibataFenderTeam Group looks forward to continuing to deliver customized, high-quality fender solutions and collaborating with partners around the world. Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to a successful 2026!
