ShibataFenderTeam completed another dolphin fender in the Bahamas

Since 2009, ShibataFenderTeam has replaced the majority of the fender systems at this offshore oil terminal as part of an ongoing upgrade and maintenance project at the facility. The latest fender system is equipped with our CSS 2000 Fenders and a fender panel of approx. 19' x 11' (5,700 x 3,200 mm), made in Germany.

Over the years, SFT has supplied for this facility a wide range of fender systems with CSS 2250, CSS 1600, CSS 1450 and CSS 1150 Fenders as well as Element Fender systems for an adjacent terminal on shore. All fender systems performed as expected and are highly reliable and durable since this is key for an offshore terminal. All rubber fenders have been tested at our production facilities under the supervision of an independent third party and some also together with the final client. That shows again, testing at the manufacturers facilities together with an independent third party is the way to go for testing and the client is always welcome to join testing as well.
